On 17 September 2023, Vishwakarma Day, our prime minister, Shri. Narendra Modi inaugurated a new yojana named Vishwakarma Yojana (, which will directly help our Vishwakarma families by providing them with skill development training, giving them financial help to buy their hand tools, and providing them with loans at low-interest rates to start and expand their businesses.

Here, Vishwakarma means our Indian Artisans and Craftsmen, who create their products using their hands or tools. Eighteen traditional trades, such as Tailor, Barbar, Potter, Boatmaker, Goldsmith, and many more, get direct benefits under this scheme. This scheme was introduced to upskill and organise these types of industries so that they can start their own businesses, grow them, and earn more profits.

This scheme is regulated and managed by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Development of Financial Entrepreneurship (DFS), and Ministry of Finance. PM Vishwakarma Yojana Apply Online At

Online registration for PM Vishwakarma Yojana is easy; you can apply for it through the Common Service Centers (CSC) nationwide. The main problem is that the artisans and craftsmen can’t directly apply for this scheme themselves; they have to go to the nearest CSC centre to apply for this scheme.

If you are interested in registering for the Vishwakarma Yojana scheme, you must visit the nearest common service centre (CSC) along with all the required documents mentioned below. Then, the CSC operator will guide you through the portal to apply for this scheme. – Registration Process

If you don’t know how to register, apply online, or log in, the simple and easy way to register for this scheme is to go to your nearest CSC centre, hand over all the needed documents, and then they will do the rest of the process.

To register for the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, you must visit the official website, Then, click on the ‘Applicant/ Beneficiary Login’ link in the main menu under the ‘Login’ section and wait for the Login page to open.

After opening the Login page, you have to enter your registered mobile number, which is connected to your Aadhar card, enter the captcha correctly as given, and then click on the ‘Login’ button to proceed.

After that, you will receive an OTP on that mobile number. Enter the received OTP in the OTP box and click on the ‘Verify’ button. Now, you have to fill out the form correctly and upload all the required documents. That’s it; you have successfully registered/applied for the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.

After successful registration, you will have to wait a few days for the application you submitted for Vishwakarma Yojana to be fully verified. After that, you can check the status of your application. If it’s fully verified, then you can download your Vishwakarma Certificate and ID card.

Benefits You Get In PM Vishwakarma Scheme

Skill Improvement and Basic Training:

  • A basic training of 40 hours will be provided to improve your skills.
  • Board and lodging will be provided free of cost.
  • You will get a daily stipend of Rs. 500 per day from the government of India.
  • After successfully completing this training, you will get a government certificate and an ID card.
  • Now, you are eligible to take Rs. 1 lakh loan to kickstart your handicraft business.

Advanced Training:

  • After completing basic training, some of the best artisans and craftsmen will receive advanced training for 15 days/120 hours from designated training centres.
  • You will also get a 500 rupee stipend daily throughout your training period.
  • At the end of this training, you can avail yourself of a low-interest loan of Rs. 2 lakh rupees to start and grow your business.

ToolKit Incentive:

  • After finishing the training, you will get an incentive of up to Rs. 15,000 through e-Rupi or e-vouchers.
  • A digital guide from a specialist to increase your production levels by improving the quality and quantity of products.

Credit Support:

  • You can avail of a low-interest loan of Rs. 3 lakhs in two tranches: 1 lakh after the end of basic training and 2 lakh at the end of advanced training.
  • The repayment period for the first loan is 18 months from the day you took out the loan and 30 months for the second loan from the day you took out the loan.
  • You will get the loans at the lowest and fixed interest rate of 5%, which can go up to 8%.

Incentive For Digital Transaction:

To promote the Digital India initiative and empower our Vishwakarma digitally by assisting them in digital transactions, the government of India is giving a minimum of Rs. 1 on transactions of Rs. 100 rupees to the beneficiary’s account through the ABPS method.

Marketing Support:

  • After giving all these benefits, the government will also provide you with marketing support to sell your products. Like,
  • The National Committee for Marketing (NCM) will provide marketing and branding support for your products. NCM will also ensure that all your products are marked and distributed according to market standards and give you national and international-level certificates.
  • NCM will also help you list your products on popular e-commerce platforms like ONDC, GeM, Khadi, etc.
