PM Vishwakarma Benefits

The Government of India introduced this PM Vishwakarma Yojana to empower traditional Indian artisans and craftsmen. Here are some of the benefits of this yojana that you need to know.

Recognition: The main benefit of the PM Vishwakarma Yojana is that the beneficiaries will get a Vishwakarma Certificate and ID Card, which will help them find jobs and prove their skills.

Skill Upgradation: This program provides free training to Indian artisans and craftsmen to enhance their existing skills. Basic training lasts 5-7 days, and advanced training lasts 15 days or more. During this training period, the beneficiaries receive a daily stipend of Rs. 500 rupees.

Toolkit Incentive: After completing the basic training of the Vishwakarma Yojana, you will be eligible for a toolkit incentive of up to Rs. 15,000 to upgrade your working speed. This amount will provided through the Direct Beneficiary Transfer (DBT) in the form of an e-voucher.

Credit (Loan) Support: This is the big benefit of this yojana, where the government will provide you with a loan to start your handcraft business and to grow your business with government credit support. In this, you can avail of a loan up to Rs. 3 lahks, and the loan comes with two tranches, the first tranche of Rs. 1 lakh (for 18 months repayment) and the second tranche of Rs. 2 lahks (for 30 months repayment). The interest rate for this loan is 5% (much less than a bank loan).

Incentives For Digital Transactions: In this yojana, the government provides a cashback of Rs. 1 per transaction for up to 100 transactions every month to encourage digital adoption and boost the government’s Digital India initiative.

Marketing Support: To boost the selling of Vishwakarma yojana’s beneficiaries, the government appointed the National Committee for Marketing (NCM) to assist you in various marketing activities like product certification, branding, promotion, packaging, and even helping you connect to e-commerce platforms like GeM, Khadi India, MSME Mart, and ONDC.
